How to Join
Step 1 — Apply Online Complete the provider application at provider.calmshell.ca. Tell us about your credentials, specializations, languages, and the communities you serve.
Step 2 — Document Verification Submit your government-issued ID, professional registration documents, and proof of insurance. We cross-check your license with the relevant provincial regulatory body.
Step 3 — Background Check Complete a CPIC criminal record check and Vulnerable Sector screening through our trusted provider.
Step 4 — Profile Setup Build your therapist profile your background, your approach, your specializations, and the communities you serve. This is what clients see when they’re matched with you.
Step 5 — Start Seeing Clients Once approved, you’ll receive match notifications and can start accepting bookings. Scheduling, payments, and communication run through the platform.

Common Questions From Providers
Is there a fee to join Calmshell?
There is no upfront cost to apply or be listed. Platform fees are taken as a percentage of session revenue. Details are shared during the application process.
Can I set my own session rates?
Yes. Providers set their own per-session rate, which is displayed on their profile.
What if I'm in supervised practice?
Apply through the supervised clinician pathway submit your credentials alongside your supervisor’s and a signed consent letter.
How does cultural matching work?
Your profile includes your cultural background, languages, and community specializations. The matching algorithm uses this to surface your profile to clients whose stated preferences align with your background.
Can I join if I'm based outside Canada?
Calmshell currently focuses on providers licensed to practice in Canadian provinces and territories. U.S.-licensed providers may be eligible for cross-border client sessions. Contact us for details.
